DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

Review the structure and assembly

  • Identify the specified height or wall thickness on the part and assembly drawings.
  • Check component and enclosure clearance with the mating parts before finalizing the geometry.
  • Agree on forming, installation and inspection limits before ordering samples.

DRAWINGS & REQUIREMENTS

Information to provide with your drawing

  • Part and assembly drawings showing the specified height or wall thickness, with units and revision details.
  • Dimensions and mating-part information for component and enclosure clearance.
  • Requirements for forming, installation and inspection limits, together with sample and batch quantities.

Sampling before production

Agree on the drawing, manufacturing route and sample scope first. Use the sample to check fit, assembly and the tests required by your project, then confirm the production drawing, inspection plan and packaging.

Samples are paid. Standard samples: 3–5 days. Expedited sampling: 48 hours. Tooling and sample production: 7–10 days. These are sample-stage timings and do not include mass-production delivery; availability and the schedule are confirmed for each project.

TOOLING & SAMPLE VALIDATION

Tooling decisions behind
Thin EMI Shielding Cover.

Ruishuo makes tooling in-house, connecting die design and CAD/CAM simulation with stamping and inspection. The tooling route for your part is reviewed against the agreed drawing, material and assembly requirements.

Plan inspection around small or thin formed features.

Small outlines and thin walls require care in both forming and inspection. Tooling review should identify which features locate the part, which surfaces establish the required clearance and how the sample will be supported during measurement. The inspection method should suit the geometry rather than allowing the measuring setup to distort a thin feature.

  • Define the material thickness, forming details and critical measurement datums.
  • Identify narrow openings, small tabs and the cut edges relevant to handling or assembly.
  • Review the sample in its intended seating condition and agree an appropriate measurement setup.

Use the sample report to close the drawing review.

Paid samples include a full dimensional inspection report. Ruishuo's inspection equipment includes 2.5D vision measurement systems, CMMs and profile projectors; measurement methods and any additional functional checks are selected for the project. Incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections support the agreed requirements as the part moves into production.
