DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

Review the structure and assembly

  • Identify the removable section and fixed interface on the part and assembly drawings.
  • Check repeated handling and contact requirements with the mating parts before finalizing the geometry.
  • Agree on maintenance access and tool space before ordering samples.

DRAWINGS & REQUIREMENTS

Information to provide with your drawing

  • Part and assembly drawings showing the removable section and fixed interface, with units and revision details.
  • Dimensions and mating-part information for repeated handling and contact requirements.
  • Requirements for maintenance access and tool space, together with sample and batch quantities.

Sampling before production

Agree on the drawing, manufacturing route and sample scope first. Use the sample to check fit, assembly and the tests required by your project, then confirm the production drawing, inspection plan and packaging.

Samples are paid. Standard samples: 3–5 days. Expedited sampling: 48 hours. Tooling and sample production: 7–10 days. These are sample-stage timings and do not include mass-production delivery; availability and the schedule are confirmed for each project.

TOOLING & SAMPLE VALIDATION

Tooling decisions behind
Removable EMI Shielding Cover.

Ruishuo makes tooling in-house, connecting die design and CAD/CAM simulation with stamping and inspection. The tooling route for your part is reviewed against the agreed drawing, material and assembly requirements.

Develop the frame and lid as a mating pair.

For a two-piece or removable shield, the tooling review includes the interface between the frame and lid. A lid that matches the nominal outline may still need adjustment at its engagement points. Sample review should therefore cover the assembled pair, with any removal and retention requirements agreed for the intended use.

  • Define frame seating, lid overlap and engagement locations on the drawing.
  • Specify the mating component and any required insertion, removal or retention checks.
  • Confirm access requirements and edge conditions before accepting the sample pair.

Use the sample report to close the drawing review.

Paid samples include a full dimensional inspection report. Ruishuo's inspection equipment includes 2.5D vision measurement systems, CMMs and profile projectors; measurement methods and any additional functional checks are selected for the project. Incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections support the agreed requirements as the part moves into production.
