Compartments follow the modules
Define the outer boundary and internal walls in one layout around the modules requiring coverage.

MULTI-CAVITY SHIELDING CAN
Map each compartment to the circuit layout, then review partition landing points, lid fit and access to the covered areas.
Partition coverage around the module layout, coordinating the outer frame, internal walls and lid with the PCB.
Use the image as a design reference. The agreed drawing and sample define the supplied part.
STRUCTURE & FUNCTION
A multi-cavity shield uses internal walls to divide board-level coverage for modules that require separate compartments. Set cavity count and placement from the actual module boundaries, together with the single-enclosure or frame-and-lid arrangement.
Define the outer boundary and internal walls in one layout around the modules requiring coverage.
Assess cavities within a single enclosure, frame or removable-lid design, with coverage and service access specified separately.
Place connections, handling openings and maintenance access around each cavity's function, partition landing points and components.
CUSTOMIZATION DETAILS
Share dimensions, mating-part information and operating requirements so we can review the manufacturing and inspection approach.
| Design item | What to discuss | Information to provide |
|---|---|---|
| Outer frame and coverage | Define the overall outline and covered area around board-level space | PCB boundary, module layout and outer-frame drawing |
| Cavities and partitions | Define cavity count, positions and wall landing points from module partitions | Compartment drawing and partition mounting or grounding relationships |
| Component height and keep-outs | Specify the highest components, can height and connector clearances in each cavity | Component heights by compartment, sections or an assembly drawing |
| Openings and servicing | Discuss openings for connections, handling and full-lid or compartment-level access | Opening purpose, locations and required service-access area |
| Material and lid fit | Agree on material, thickness, finish and any matching lid structure | Part material requirements and frame-to-lid fit drawings |
| Partitioned samples | Charged: standard samples 3–5 days; expedited sampling 48 hours; tooling and sample production 7–10 days. Sample stage only; volume production and delivery excluded. Match the process to the structure | Actual mating assembly, cavity tasks to validate and sample quantity |

TOOLING & SAMPLE VALIDATION
Ruishuo makes tooling in-house, connecting die design and CAD/CAM simulation with stamping and inspection. The tooling route for your part is reviewed against the agreed drawing, material and assembly requirements.
A multi-cavity shield introduces internal walls as well as an external perimeter. Tooling review should consider partition position, wall height, roof clearance and how the internal features align with the PCB layout. An inspection plan limited to the outside dimensions can overlook a partition that interferes with a component or misses its intended landing area.
Paid samples include a full dimensional inspection report. Ruishuo's inspection equipment includes 2.5D vision measurement systems, CMMs and profile projectors; measurement methods and any additional functional checks are selected for the project. Incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections support the agreed requirements as the part moves into production.
DRAWING → SAMPLE → PRODUCTION
Samples are paid, with the scope and cost agreed from your drawing and process requirements. Mass-production and delivery schedules are confirmed separately.
Timings depend on the agreed sample plan.
Tooling and sample production exclude mass-production delivery.
Identify the revision, mating parts, material, critical dimensions and sample quantity.
Confirm the manufacturing route, sample cost and schedule.
Review fit, contact and assembly, then complete the validation required by your project.
Approve the drawing revision, inspection criteria and packaging before scheduling the batch.
PRODUCT FAQ
Bring the available drawing and assembly details, even if some dimensions or material choices are still open.
Discuss your project ↗Cavity count should follow module layout and partitioning tasks. Additional cavities still require assessment of wall landing points, mounting and access; count alone does not establish system performance.
Provide module boundaries, component heights and the partition mounting or grounding locations on the PCB. Use one layout revision to review the outer frame and internal walls together.
The design can be reviewed as a matched frame and lid. Specify full-lid or compartment-level access, along with the relevant fit and operating clearance.
