DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

Match the component to its mating parts

  • Identify the mating frame or mounting surface and the component's mating parts.
  • Review lid-edge fit and removal space in the complete assembly, not as an isolated part.
  • Specify contact points and retention method for the installed component.

DRAWINGS & REQUIREMENTS

Inputs for a component review

  • Part or assembly drawings showing the mating frame or mounting surface.
  • Mating-part dimensions, revisions or reference samples for lid-edge fit and removal space.
  • Requirements for contact points and retention method, with set or individual-part quantities.

Sampling before production

Agree on the drawing, manufacturing route and sample scope first. Use the sample to check fit, assembly and the tests required by your project, then confirm the production drawing, inspection plan and packaging.

Samples are paid. Standard samples: 3–5 days. Expedited sampling: 48 hours. Tooling and sample production: 7–10 days. These are sample-stage timings and do not include mass-production delivery; availability and the schedule are confirmed for each project.

TOOLING & SAMPLE VALIDATION

Tooling decisions behind
EMI Shielding Lid.

Ruishuo makes tooling in-house, connecting die design and CAD/CAM simulation with stamping and inspection. The tooling route for your part is reviewed against the agreed drawing, material and assembly requirements.

Validate the lid against its mating frame.

A shielding lid is an assembly component. Its tooling review should connect roof geometry and edge features to the actual frame it closes. Where the lid uses clips or formed engagement features, the drawing and sample review should identify those interfaces explicitly; the photograph alone cannot establish the fit or retention requirement.

  • Provide the mating-frame drawing or a reference frame for the fit review.
  • Specify the contact and engagement features that matter to the assembled shield.
  • Agree dimensional and functional checks, including removal requirements where applicable.

Use the sample report to close the drawing review.

Paid samples include a full dimensional inspection report. Ruishuo's inspection equipment includes 2.5D vision measurement systems, CMMs and profile projectors; measurement methods and any additional functional checks are selected for the project. Incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections support the agreed requirements as the part moves into production.
